1. Who we are
queer.photo is a representation and booking agency connecting clients with independent, freelance queer photographers in London. We are the data controller for the personal information described here. The photographers we represent are independent freelancers, not our employees, and act as their own data controllers for any information you share with them directly.
2. What we collect
- Account details when you sign up (name, email, password, and whether you are a client or a photographer).
- Enquiry and booking details you give us (shoot type, date, time, London area, budget, phone, and your message).
- Profile information photographers choose to publish (name, pronouns, bio, rates, links, and images).
- Payment confirmation from Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Basic technical data such as your IP address and cookies needed to run the site.
3. How we use it
We use your information to take enquiries and bookings, match you with a suitable photographer, take payment and apply our facilitation fee, send confirmations and updates, and run and improve the service. We rely on performing our contract with you and our legitimate interest in operating the platform as our lawful bases.
4. Who we share it with
- The photographer matched to your booking or enquiry, so they can carry out the work.
- Stripe, which processes payments securely on our behalf.
- Google Calendar, only if a photographer connects their calendar, and only to read their free/busy times so we can match availability. We never read the contents of anyone's calendar events.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry, booking, and account records for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet our legal and accounting obligations, then delete or anonymise them.
6. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or object to certain uses, by emailing us. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
